Not that there really was any control in College athletics to begin with the at least the sense of control was there before... now, it just seems as though any school or kid can do whatever he wants with no consequences.
Do I really need to list examples? The ESPN bottomline is full of them on a weekly basis. I truly makes me sick. The only reason I preferred college sports to pro-sports was for the "heart" that kids put into playing. It wasn't about money it was all for the love of the game. Well, slap me with a fish and call me Trixie because i was fooled to believe it. Not anymore, I'm moving on.
If there's going to corruption and greed leading a sport it might as well be 100% across the board. Goodbye college sports, you were semi-interesting to me before but now I can't stomach you.
Call me when you get a playoff system (FBS) and the players are paid equally (all sports).
