HDR 131

So here's the first installment of the HDR combined total of reviews since the beginning! Can you believe I've done 131 of these things in the last couple years? Yea, me neither! So let's get to it!

Appoloosa:
Turn on western southern deep voice/
My name is John. I'm a bad@$$. You don't want to get dirt on my watch. I got cows to look after.
Turn off western southern deep voice/
Ok that was lame I admit. Anyway, this movie is a new western! YAY! Shooting people like it's fun and lots of dust everywhere! Hey! where's the water at? Anyway, this movie was pretty good. I like a good western every now and then esp when they are new and fancy with lots of good action and bad teeth!

Lemony Snicket: Unfortunate Events
Jim Carey is a great actor when it comes to crazy creepy dudes in children's films and he proves it again. I think this guy's face is actually made out of jello or rubber or maybe even flubber ! ha! Either way he can really contort his face to do all sorts of cool stuff. Good movie about some kids who have something terrible happen but end up having to go through even more stuff before finally getting a life they deserve! Very dark but interesting and funny.

Higherdef Rating: 4.5

Futurama: Into the wild green yonder
Ok so I might as well skip this one right? I mean you and I both know I'm gonna give it a 5 and move on to the next one. So I guess I'll go ahead and leave out how awesome futurama is, and not bother telling you how funny they always are and how amazingly creative this show is! Ok, you got me, I'll rate it now.

Corpse Bride:
I don't really see the appeal of the claymation frame-by-frame movies but they are very creative and I have a lot of respect for them. Esp these types of movies. They really do an amazing job at the motions and syncing up with the audio etc but I just don't get the cult following for it. I mean, I am not knocking the movie at all, it was very impressive but if it were a live movie it'd be lame and not really all that great but if you spend 100000 times longer making it with stick people made from plastic, well then now, Now! you have a crazy cult movie!

Higherdef Rating: 3 and a half for taking up a lot of time making it

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium
I seemed to have watched a lot of kids movies lately huh? I seem to go in patterns, 1 week of gore, 1 week of kids movies, 1 week of drama, 1 week of comedy and then 1 whole life time of being awesome! no wait....
Anyway, he's another good kids movie. This one actually has a good magical undertone that wasn't super lame too! Anyway, this guy (mr Magorium) played by Dustin Hoffman, owns this awesome toy store that is pretty much alive and his sole employee (Natalie Portman) pretty much runs the place. Anyway, Mr M is about to die, or leave the planet or something and he tells Natalie this and she gets sad, and so does the actual store. So Jason Bateman is in there some where and it's really pretty neat, and predictable but you just have to ignore that part.
