drum roll please!!
The first ever HigherDef Flix Reviews!! or HDFR!
Now I know you are asking yourself "Why? Why the name change?"
Well, let me tell you. Blockbuster is not very good. They are trying to weasel money out of everyone in the world so I decided to fight back and canceled and switched to Netflix instead. Anyway, In the less than a month that I've been more than pleased about their service compared to Blockbuster so without further ado....
The Ten: As part of Netflix, one of the options they have is "unlimited movie downloads". Now this is a great deal except they don't offer this for Mac owners (yet), but thankfully I still have an old PC so for my first movie I watched one on my computer. Surprisingly, the quality wasn't that bad and actually quite bearable. So I ended up choosing this movie b/c it was one of the few that was on the "watch now" list that I had and so I did...
The Ten was a movie based on the 10 Commandments but not exactly. It was a set of stories that went together that, in a way, were related to the commandments. As a whole I wasn't that pleased with this movie. It started out on point and the 1st couple of "commandments" were funny and clever and interesting, and then (it seemed) to just turn into a movie and I seemed to lose interest as well. There were about 4 of 10 interesting stories and 3 or so that were "ok" the other 3 were terrible.
So let's see that makes it 4/10 plus 3 minus 3.. aww screw it!!

Trailer park boys season 1: Have you seen this show before? If you haven't go see it. But don't go to blockbuster b/c you won't find it there though. You might even have to go to Canada though b/c that's where these boys hail from. Very good show! Excellent even! I have seen this show before but the 2nd time around was no less funny or interesting.

The Return to the House on Haunted Hill: Honestly, I didn't have a high expectation for this movie. Also, I didn't really have a high desire to see this movie either but on my Blockbuster List... it was a "very long wait" movie in my que for weeks (probably months), so I shot it up to the top of Netflix as a "test" and sure enough, it's there within a day or so. So needless to say I will continue to bash the idiots of Blockbuster and praise the folks at NetFlix. On to the review!
The movie wasn't really that great, it was actually about as good as the original but with a little more plot (can you believe it?). I think the first was just stupid and the 2nd at least had some stories in it that, while out there, were pretty funny/interesting. There also were a couple of good death scenes.
