About the Movie:
So basically there's this guy who grows up in absolute crap of a world. His mom gets killed. He's only got an older brother who treats him like a slave. He's homeless forever and has really nothing going for him. And then he gets a shot to win like a billion dollars in Indian money or whatever. So he gets on the show and has to answer all these really weird, but not surprisingly difficult questions to win. And he knows all the answers b/c of weird and horrible things that happened to him throughout his life.

Review:
I knew it was a happy ending type of movie they choked down a big one with this cheese fest here.
Gimmick story, cheesy scenes, a kid completely covered in poop... it was just a terrible take on what could have been a very heart felt and emotional story.
It wasn't a a best picture nominee movie much less a winner; yet, unfortunately, that's not the reality. The academy disappoints me again.
This is no way a knock on the actors in this movie, they did a great job. And this wasn't a terrible movie either. It was a "GOOD" movie. I just thought it could have been so much more.
Slumdog was a forgettable movie. It isn't deserving to be on the same list as
many of the others I've called "great".
A "great" movie has got to change me in a way to be worthy of greatness and Slumdog didn't. I'll remember my negative review of it more than I'll remember the movie.
