Shoeless Movie Reviews (Shoeless Access Reviews or SAR)

Hey guys! A lot of you don't know this but I'm a huge movie buff! and unless you are dense you should already know that I love making movies as well.

Well, early this year I joined the Blockbuster total access online so that I could maxamize my movie watching as well as save some money in the process. You know you can almost watch 1 movie a day if you work that system right? And for only $17 a month that's like renting movies for less than 50 cent a pop... well i'm not advertising for them but instead let me give you some basic reviews from what I've seen so far this year.

I'll start with my first SARs and work my way forward until I catch up to where I am presently...

SAR 1 - 5

Jackass #2... yea it was just what you'd expect... some funny segments but the rest was just stupid and nasty. Don't recommend unless you LOVED the 1st one I give it sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif out of 5

The Decent.... i'm not a fan of closterphobic type of scary things and this had a couple scenes that hit a nerver there, but for a flick that had nothing but chicks as the lead rolls there wasn't nearly enough "experimentation" for me lol. Would not recommend sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif out of 5

Little miss Sunshine: decent flick, not really that funny but i chuckled a few times. Not a bad plot but more of a dark comedy than anything. I like dark movies therefore I'll give it sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif our of 5.

in the 2nd batch of movies we've got:

Pirates of the caribean II:

i didn't want to see the first one and really didn't care to see the 2nd one. both are "good" but i guess I don't get it like some people do. Johnny Depp is a great actor... keira knightly would look better if she ate more and got naked... that otehr guy needs to be less Doogie and i can do without all the cgi effects... still it had its moments but of course they set it up for a sequel that i will be equally not anxious to see

Shoeless rating: sarcasm/rock.gif out of 5

A inconvienent truth: everyone in america should see this movie... unfortunately the people who need to see it most will pretend it's all lies and myths therefore pretty much shaging us all in the pooper and our children until it's too late. I am going to try and do my part and convince people to do theirs as well and I pray that maybe enough will be done to help reverse the trends before it's too late... unfortunately for the USA and most of hte world... people care about money more than just about anything else and I'm not gonna even try to tell them that money doesn't mean anything when you are dead.

shoeless rating: sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif and a half out of 5 (if al gore left his stupid politics out of it it would have been a winner but not so much for a movie but as an eye opener)

moving on... the last movie was:

Snakes on a plane:

not the best movie ever but not the worst either. I was told it was "supposed to be stupid" well if that was the case they failed. It wasn't stupid enough to really be humorus and it wasn't serious enough to be interesting.

Slither: better than snakes on a plane but no boobs so it gets the same rating...

Garden State: natalie portman is hot. Zach Braff is becoming one of my new favorite actors and after I finished watching the movie i thought to myself "how in teh world did I not see this movie sooner". Very funny and emotional... little bit of a love story but very subtle and so i thoroughly enjoyed this one...

Shoeless rating: sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif best one so far

Clerks 1 and 2:

1: not as funny as I remembered but still funny. It seems lots of other movies stole quite a bit from this one. Decent flick glad its in my collection

Shoeless rating: sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif and a half

2: not as good as the 1st, maybe i'm older but it was too crude for me for some parts. the main guy has aged well the other guy hasn't lol.

Shoeless rating: sarcasm/rock.gif sarcasm/rock.gif

All the kings men:

what happens when you compile the high powered cast of characters that includes: Sean Penn, Jude Law, Anthony Hopkins, Kate Winslet among others?

well you bore me to sleep... lol... not really but this wasn't my favorite movie. It seemed to drag during spots and lacked suspence. There was an either underused or pointless love story that didn't get set up enough or could have been omitted either way it wasn't layed out right. This movie could have been great but the writters and director seemed to ruin it for me. I could have done a better job

Shoeless Rating: sarcasm/rock.gif and a half

The Davinci Code:

Tom Hanks was not needed in this movie. They should have saved the money they spent to get him and used an unknown. He wasn't bad but anyone could have done as well for this part as it wasn't a part that really needed acting supremacy to fill it. The chick was good looking though.

The plot was decent but i don't see where all the up roar from the book or movie came from... no wait, now I see it.... It's called a lack of imagination from 99% of the world and esp the "Churches". I figured out the ending in the 1st 30 mins of this 2.5 hour "thriller" and so it didn't really do much for me... but i guess if i hadn't opened my mind up to any different beliefs in over the last, oh i'd say, 2000 years... I guess i'd have thought it was blasphamous too.
