Why not do another one? I can't think of a reason can you?

I'm Reed Fish:
Reed Fish is a dude in a small town who really hasn't gone anywhere his whole life. He hosts a radio show (that was once his dad's) with the mayor to the town, and he's about to marry this hot girl but then his old gf or something comes back to town and boom roasted! sorry, that slipped. Anyway, he falls into temptation and then it's crazy time for this town of what seems like 15 and he'll have to pull it together before he loses everything. Decent movie. Not great but interesting. There was one really bad editing mistake that I caught and it still irks me but other than that I liked this movie. Nothing special though.

Higherdef Rating: 3.5

Rocket Science:
Loved this movie, hated the ending. Kind of. Not completely but I just didn't like it. Anyway, to the plot... there's a HS kid who pretty much can barely talk and not even well. And there's this super slutty girl (ok not really but I didn't like her character so I'm bashing her, sue me) who's on the debate team and she takes him under her slutty wing and he fails miserably. Anyway, he falls in love with her and she is a slut and so she's slutty and then the movie gets depressing. I liked this movie though.

Higherdef Rating: 3.5 and a slut

Year of the Dog:
Some people are weird. Like not shave their entire body and cover themselves in paint weird but like, adopt 15 dogs b/c they don't want them to be killed weird. I like animals and I wish people weren't so freaking stupid with them and got them neutered and stopped freaking breeding them for $1000s and instead went and got mutts from the shelters b/c those dogs are better anyway. So anyway, there's a plot in there somewhere but you figure it out. Crazy person gets too many dogs, movie tries to be funny, me get bored.

Death Race:
Now that's what I'm talking about! The title says it all! people race... TO THE DEATH! DA DA DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! SPOOKY. Not really, but awesome! great action! great sequences of death and awesomeness. Great guy movie. 100% awesome guy movie. I'm a guy... huh, wonder why i liked it? No clue.

Higherdef Rating: 5

Cashback:
Artsy movie. Strange but interesting. Let's see a plot... there's an art guy who cna't sleep since his ex dumped him... so he takes on a night job b/c he can't sleep so he has an extra 8 hours to kill (how sweet is that?). And so that's pretty much it, except there's a love story in there somewhere. I did like this movie though. Creative and different.

License to wed:
I was actually not completely annoyed with this movie. It wasn't the funniest thing I've ever seen or anything but I usually don't like the movies where there's a guy who is pretty much screwing over someone else (EX: Anger Management). Robin Williams was pretty funny and his little side kick was AWESOME! I laughed out loud a handful of times too. Mandy Moore is underrated as a hot chick and the Office guy was pretty good in his role too, except that it is unlikely that he'd land a girl like Mandy... Boom Roasted!! Anyway, good date movie and has a "sweet" ending.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor:
Another Mummy! Kinda... well, it was pretty decent. I pretty much stuck to the mummy series humor and action. Over the top. Random. Unrealistic as heck and pretty much lame but interesting the entire time. Soooo basically, if you've liked the first few mummy movies, ***gasp***... you'll like this one! and versa vicea. I personally don't mind them but I'm not hoping for another one.

The Hoax:
Do you know who Howard Hughes is? well, me neither ... haha jk but anyway, there's this reporter guy who is pretty much going to get fired or something and he comes up with this great scam to convince his publishing company that he's got this once in a lifetime chance to publish howard hughes autobiography. Anyway, it keeps getting crazier and crazier the more this guy lies and then... well, you know. Based on a true story this movie was actually pretty interesting. Not the greatest movie in the world or anything but worth a mind-numbing 2+ hours on a Sunday afternoon at least.

Higherdef Rating: 3.5

The Constant Gardener:
Great great movie! So there's this guy and his wife just got killed in Africa and this guy is going to get to the bottom of it. He finds out there's all sorts of crazy shady stuff going on there and he does his best to avenge his wife's death and make good in the world. Ray Fiennes and Rachel Weisz are the actors and Ray does an AMAZING job in this movie. I was very impressed with this movie and the acting and the story everything! great great movie. Loved it.

This is England:
What a messed up place we live in sometimes. This movie was a weird look into the lives of some teenagers growing up and finding their own and who get corrupted by a big ass racist neo-nazi type kid. The main character seems to be the youngest and gets taken in by the big racist and takes him under his wing. This movie is just so extremely messed up, but not b/c it a messed up movie, but b/c there are really people this full of hatred out there in the world. I couldn't ever imaging hating someone solely based on skin color or race. I just couldn't do it. I will admit I've had some moments of agreeing with a handful of stereotypes but I know that a handful of idiots don't make the whole race evil. Anyway, I enjoy movies that make me think but this one just made me hate people like that. So maybe I am racist... I hate people that hate people... does that mean I hate myself? I'm confused... help me Jesus! Oh wait, he tells me to pray for them. So I will. After this blog.

More movies in less calories!

Lord of the rings 1:
Gotta love the revisiting of an old... well, new classic! I love these movies for hte most part. I never read the books or anything lame like that so you won't hear any "the books were better" garbage from me! Why read when the movies are already out? haha. Anyway, the first movie is really good and really sets up the series. I would say the 1st movie which is actually called "the fellowship of the ring" is the 2nd best movie in the series. I won't get into the plot but if you don't know it by now then you need to really get with the times.

Higherdef Rating: 4.5

Lord of the rings 2:
Now the 2nd movie... the 2nd movie is FLIPPING AWESOME!! I mean, super model with a free cheeseburger coupon awesome! I love this movie. If there's any movie in the trilogy that deserved best picture it was this one... not the 3rd which, well, sucked! I mean seriously. 45 mins of lame endings? give me a break. Give me 2 hours of fighting any day! 2nd LOTR (which is called "the two towers") rocks your face off!

Higherdef Rating: 5

Lord of the rings 3:
Did I mention this movie was lame? Ok, not really completely and entirely lame like American Idol or anything but they took at great 1st and super awesome 2nd movie and then followed it up with 2 hours of greatness only to crap all over it with the super bad ending. I know, I know, it's all crazy in the book blah blah blah, (see LOTR 1 review to paragraphs up for my take on reading) but I don't care. I want better endings! I want death to hobbits or crying from everyone or explosions from demons or something but not jumping on the bed and creepy old guys looking on from the corner. This movie really gets a bad rating in my book b/c of this. I still can't believe out of the 3 movies THIS one gets the oscar. I'm still bitter. So I'll get my revenge right now...

Higherdef Rating: 3 haha yes, 3! not 4 or 4.5 nope a lame ol' 3! in your face Oscars!

National lampoon's spring break:
Speaking of Oscars... this movie will NOT be even in the nominations for ANY of them. I mean bad. Now let me ask you... when you think of National Lampoon movies what do you think of? Vacations? Van Wilder? something kooky and fun right? stupid plot, stupid kids, drugs? drinking? well, that's pretty much been thrown out the window for a freaking documentary type spring break movie where they follow around, like, a bunch of strippers or something. Anyway, it was lame and terrible and I didn't make it all the way through it. I really hate turning off movies but this one was clearly making me retarded and so I had to delete it from the rest of my memory.

Higherdef Rating: 1

Harold & Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay:
Now Harold and Kumar know how to have a good time in the kooky, fun, stupid kids, game. I think this one had some really funny moments but was still a little too much for the UNrated version. I'd probably think it was funnier watching it on Comedy Central in a few months though instead of having to pray for forgiveness of my soul after watching parts of this one. Anyway, it was still pretty funny even if most of the jokes were recycled, but hey... at least they are going green right?

Hotel Rwanda:
So this is the 2nd movie I've watched about the situation in Rwanda (Beyond the Gates was the other). And this movie was equally as moving if not more so. Staring Don Cheadle as a hotel manager who takes in refugees from the ethnic cleansing taking place outside the hotel in surrounding area. I don't really need to go further into detail but it was a very moving and good movie. I wouldn't recommend this movie if you looking for a laugh but if you want to get pissed at humanity and maybe enjoy a cry... this is your choice.

Higherdef Rating: 4.5

Traitor:
Hey! look at that, another movie with Don Cheadle and look at that!!! Another excellent movie. Very good movie about espionage and terrorism on a global scale. Excellent plot and lots of twists and really does keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. I would def recommend this movie for a Friday or Saturday night where you can curl up on the couch with some popcorn and turn the lights down low and the stereo up loud. Great thriller and great movie.

Curious Case of Benjammin Button"
Well, since my girl is probably the greatest girl in the world and since she dominates her job like a true champ, she won some free theater vouchers and so we took advantage of this and went to see this movie. I will have to say that this was one of the best movies I've ever seen. Brad Pitt is def one of the best actors of our time and Cate Blanchet was equally excellent in her role as well. I would def say this was a great love story and an fantastic journey of a strange character. Aging backwards was a creative plot twist and the makeup artists did a magnificent job. I would def want to own this movie when it comes out on blu-ray and, though i haven't seen Slumdog, I would say it def has best picture qualities.

Higherdef Rating: 5

The Holiday:
Chick Flick!! and a long one too. But not a bad one. I mean, it wasn't too sappy. I didn't really like the ending b/c it just didn't seem logical or practical but it was still a very "happy" movie. Jack Black wasn't really that funny but who said he has to be all the time? I think Kate W is pretty hot with her clothes on and Cameron Diaz is hot even as she ages. Still, chick flick. Not gonna be re-watching this one anytime soon.

Higherdef Rating: 3.5

Into the Blue:
Jessica Alba in a bikini and under water. It could have been such a better movie than it was. It just really dragged on and on and lacked the drama it seemed to produce in its trailers. Still Jessica Alba might have looked her best ever in this movie and the other blond chick is also super hot and they spend about half the movie in bikinis or less, but that's really all this movie has to offer.
